Milestones Updated
Here are some of the words he can say - not all of them by any stretch. At his 18 month appointment I had counted 80+ words that he knew, and at 19 months he knows even more.
- Update: November 6. Counting and the Alphabet
He will now say both the alphabet (a, b, c...) and his numbers from 1-10. He doesn't get the alphabet perfectly, but he's amazingly good at it!
- Colors
Hilariously, when you ask him what color something is, he nearly always answers "boo" (blue). He does know that Shasta is a white dog, however.
- "Apple bapple"
When he wants apple, that's what he says.
- "Umbabapa"
Umbrella - this was his first word, only when he first said it he said "Umbuhuh". Now he says "Umbabapa" - still not really close to umbrella.
- "chickden"
For chicken. He was amazed to find out that our neighbors chickens and the lunch he was eating were the same thing.
- "dragden"
He was a dragon for Halloween, but he called himself a "dragden".
- "baby"
His name for himself.
- "Rom"
His name for me (mom).
- "Brendan" or "Unka Brendan"
His name for both his uncle Brendan and nearly any strange man he meets.
- "Daddy Pa"
His name for his grandpa. He named him that unprompted.
- "Gramma"
He recognizes his grandma in photos and can reliably name her.
- "Bibi" and "Gramps"
He can also recognize his other grandparents in photos.
